What is the $Literacy Revolution?
A revolution is driven by a profound belief that things can be different; that abiding by the status quo is no longer acceptable. Revolutions require the sustained efforts of people who are dedicated to changing the world. Revolutions take work, and they take time. But they offer us the opportunity to imagine a better future, and they inspire us to work tirelessly towards that goal.
weProsper believes the time has come to end the massive lack of financial literacy in this country. The status quo is sinking us deeper into debt. We must tackle this challenge at the root, in our education system, to save our struggling economy and transform America into a nation of savers.
weProsper has created an affordable, scalable, and sustainable platform for free financial education for all students aged 5-24. As a catalyst for self-organization, weProsper encourages teachers, business owners, parents, faith-based educators, students, and $Literacy advocates to combine their efforts and bring financial education into schools and communities at the local level. We are creating the architecture for participation to unite people with a common cause. If we succeed, the $Literacy revolution will build healthier families and communities, increase financial stability in the next generation, and create a brighter financial future for America.
